The 2007-2008 Central City FFA Chapter consists of 40 members. The Chapter is lead by President, Matthew Maresh; Vice-President, Jacob Dexter; Treasurer, Stephanie Nelson; Reporter, Emily Maresh; Parliamentarian, Jennifer Zywiec; Secretary, Kelsey Ferris; Historian, Anastasia Johnson, and Sentinel, Phillip Johnson. The Central City chapter were involved in many activities this summer including COLT Conference, All-Star Basketball concessions, Petting Zoo, Teddy Bear Picnic, Lone Tree Parade, baseball concessions, County Fair, parking cars, tractor driving contest, and livestock judging. The Petting Zoo attracted many young kids in the area. The members brought calves, ponies, dogs, and kittens. Since school has started they have had a hayrack ride, bonfire, State Fair, Husker Harvest Days Clean-up, helping at the John Deere and health tent at Husker Harvest Days, and football concessions. Their chapter had four exhibitors at the State Fair. Phillip Johnson exhibited corn and Emily Maresh showed a crossbred and purebred pig. Travis and Matthew showed a crossbred pig. The Central City Chapter plans on attending Impact, National FFA Convention, and District 6 LSE in the future. At National Convention they have two members getting their American Degree: Heath Reimers and Jaci Benson.
