Blue Hill FFA Chapter

The Blue Hill FFA chapter has kept busy this school year.  From barn dances to agriculture contests, and traveling the country, the Blue Hill FFA chapter never stops.  At the beginning of the school year the Blue Hill FFA chapter had 32 FFA members participate in the range judging competition at Alma, Nebraska.  Erin Kinley participated in the Sr. division and finished in the top ten. Blue Hill's FFA chapter can also proudly say that they have a Sr. division livestock judging team qualifying for the state competition.  FFA isn't all about work and no play though.  On October 14th-19th nine Blue Hill FFA members traveled to Indianapolis, IN for the 2009 National FFA Convention.  While in Indianapolis Blue Hill's FFA members enjoyed various speakers, career workshops, the FFA Talent show, and a very exciting Toby Keith concert.  Also while in Indianapolis they had the great pleasure of watching Blue Hill Graduate Sierra Zuellner receive her American degree.  All nine Blue Hill FFA members were sad to leave Indianapolis and all the new friends they met, but they came back to Blue Hill with great ideas for their chapter.  As soon as National convention was over Blue Hill's FFA started on greenery projects.  These greenery centerpieces were created and sold by the horticulture class at Blue Hill and the money was donated to charity.  Even though half the school year has flown by, the Blue Hill FFA chapter is keeping up with numerous activities.
