Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 1/2/2009

Compared to last week: No reported trades of feeder steers in recent
weeks to compare with this week's trade, no reported sales of feeder heifers.
Demand remains moderate. Buyers are waiting to see how the market establishes
itself this coming week as most auctions have been shut down the last two
holiday weeks. 100 percent over 600 lbs. 100 percent steers. All sales FOB
North and South Dakota with a 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent and a 4-5 cent
slide on yearlings and a 5-10 cent slide on calves from base weights.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 for current delivery 650 lbs calves
